Into this haven we would scurry, where we could hide from the world (and mom, ten feet away in the kitchen making dinner) and enjoy the solitude and safety a well built rat cave can provide. When I opened the files we were both talking over the skype and could see each other in video, she was in her apartment in Barcelona and I was in my home in Alabama.
