Barbara and I thought giving birth the second time would be easier but nothing seemed to go according to plan. When Barbara’s water broke around midnight we called my brother to ask him to come over and watch our first kid, Daniel. No answer at home, just an answering machine. So we called his cell phone. No answer there. I called his home number again and left a message on the machine. Then, assuming he and my sister-in-law were sleeping, I called over and over again. No luck.
